Hello everyone.......

I was at a friends house last night and she was on a website called plenty of fish and she showed me her e-mails as well as the "who viewed me" section and I came to realize that we men are pretty well screwed when it comes to dating LOL. I swear she had over 100 e-mails from ONE day and they all said the same basic things. Most of them had titles that said something like, "hi", "Hey", "Hey Cutie", "your hott" (notice they say your and not you're) etc... Now this alone makes me understand that when e-mailing a woman, I had atleast say something better than those examples. The biggest problem with this whole thing is that she gets soooooooooooo many e-mails that alot of them just get deleted and she even admits that she has probably deleted some great guys just because she cant keep up.

The second problem here is that on her "who viewed me" section, there are so many guys looking that there is just no way that any single one of them has more than about 2 minutes in the spotlight on that page. I used to think that women would see that I looked and maybe they would look back but now I know why they dont. Well, unless of course I'm just one ugly moron. Sad

Anyway, It makes me wonder once again if this is all worth it or not haha. What do you think?

.I'm on a dating web site and I'll give you my input. For the most part, we ARE there to meet someone. So we post our pics, fill out our profiles and lists our interests, etc. Then we start to get the hits. And guess what... no pics, no info, no interests listed - it's like we're getting emails from ghosts. More often than not, the profiles say: "I'll tell you in a message," so you have to email them for info, a pic, everything. WHY be on a dating site if you are invisible??? Those are the ones I just delete. Now, I'm 60 - I don't have the time you younger kids have in trying to meet someone. But regardless, why waste anyone's time?

So my take on this is this: Post your pics - physical chemistry is important. Fill out those profiles. Watch your spelling and grammar. Say something polite, nice, respectful on your first contact - first impressions are important. We do get a little tired of the "hi", "Hey", "Hey Cutie", "your hott" mentioned above. This will help to get you noticed. OK, mom is signing out now.... Capt. Gin
